Hiawatha Logo

Hiawatha Line Logo

Pulled by a 4,000-horsepower diesel-electric locomotive, Hiawatha Passenger Cars represented the ultimate in comfort. Designed to be sleek, and adorned in cheerful, well-coordinated colors, Hiawatha Trains also contained state-of-the art mechanical systems to smooth the ride.

The Hiawatha logo finds its inspiration from the legendary 16th century chieftain of the Iriquoi Indians and the subject of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's famous poem, The Song of Hiawatha.
